Finally!

We've had lots going on this past little while. But the most exciting thing is that Hayley finally took some steps today! I said to Jared, "I am so surprised Hayley walked today!" and he just goes, "...really?". Haha - I guess I shouldn't be surprised - it's about time! I was worried she'd have to scoot her way into Nursery in two months.

I have a feeling it's going to be a short learning period as she just tried standing unassisted yesterday and then took her first steps today. I know I've said it before but; she's an odd duck, this one. Hayley won't do anything until she feels like it.

This weekend, we are having my sister Carly stay here to keep her company while my parents are in Las Vegas. My Dad was in the Monte Carlo today for a meeting, had to be evacuated and took this picture with his cell phone:

Crazy, hey?

Tonight Jared and I went to West Ed and got to go on all the rides for free. Jared's brother works for a company that hosted a closed event there. We went on all the rides, didn't have to wait in any lines, and saw approximately two thirds of all the mormon kids I grew up with. Carter and Hayley stayed with the babysitter.

We've all been sick again here, with colds that have added to our "never ending sickness". I swear, this flu season has been horrible for us. It's getting ridiculous.

Jared leaves for Houston again on Sunday for work. It's a quick trip and he's not looking forward to it at all. I'm not either. I don't like doing the single-mom thing.

We have some fun activities planned for tomorrow though so I will post later.

That is so funny about Hayley. Kids can sure be funny. That is also crazy about your dad and the Hotel. I completely understand the not liking the single mom thing either. Rob had to leave for work for a week, and it was horrible. I just go to my parents or in-laws when eh leaves now so that I am not alone anymore.

yay! congratulations Hayley! Funny how different we are - I love it when T's away! Just me and the kids, no need for big meals, not alot of extra dishes - and best of all, no one else's laundry to pick up! My house is never cleaner! Haha

I'm so jealous about West Ed! Not fair!!! Way to go Hayley! 16 months eh? Her and Stratton HAVE to meet! They're so similar! It'll be super fast! He took his first steps at 16 months, and 2 weeks into it, the kid was running....everywhere!!!!!!
