Family Day Long Weekend

We went down to Lethbridge this past weekend for my cousin's wedding. It was the first time in awhile that all the Mendenhall side was together. We had a fun weekend visiting friends and family, and even taking some pictures in the "jungle" (as Carter called it) at the Lethbridge Lodge.

The other day, we set up a little "photo shoot" in the kitchen and I took some pictures of the kids (Leah, you'd be proud). Some turned out pretty good and I took pictures till they were sick of smiling (which didn't take very long...).

February 11th - Carter turns three!

It was Carter's birthday this past Sunday, he turned three. It was alot of fun, we had some family over: Grandpa, Grandma, Joel, Dallin, and Carly, and Gary and Alli. Carter is obsessed with the movie "Cars" and so I made him a "Cars" cake...he loved it. It was a fun little party and Carer got spoiled. Even Hayley got into the spirit of things....

Hayley

Our little girl's getting bigger every day. We just introduced pablum and the jolly jumper, and she loves both. She's getting better at sleeping now, she wasn't very good at it before. I think she thinks she's missing out on stuff. I go and get her up and she just smiles and coos. It's hard to be mad when she's so dang cute!

Christmas 2006

We spent the holidays in Vanderhoof with the Whidden side. Then, we headed back to Edmonton and spent New Years with the Mendenhall side. It was a lot of fun and we got spoiled....

Hayley's Blessing - October 2006

We had Hayley blessed on the Thanksgiving long weekend. Most of Jared's family and all of mine were able to attend. We all had dinner at my parents house in Sherwood Park after. It was a fun weekend with family.

She's Here! - September 2006

Hayley Marie Whidden was born on September 18th, 2006 at 8:32 am. She weighed in at 7lbs 7oz, 20 1/2 inches. We are so excited to have a girl!

Edmonton - May 2006

We moved to Edmonton in May 2006. Jared got a new job at Randstad as a staffing consultant. We made a hobby of driving out to new lakes to explore. These pictures were taken at Hasse lake, the first one we went to. It was a really fun day, until Jared realized he was developing swimmers itch...

Carter like to copy everything he sees anyone else doing, and it was pretty funny at times:

...and, unfortunately, I had a lot of morning sickness that Carter was witness to.

For Carter's second birthday, we had some friends and family over for a little party. Carter loves Elmo, so I made him an Elmo cake - it was a big hit (as you can tell from the expression on his face...)
