OCHD - "Obsessive Compulsive Hoarding Disorder"

Carter has this really weird habit of hoarding a lot of random stuff, and hiding it in even weirder places. For instance, awhile back I couldn't find any of my earrings anywhere and they turned up all in Carter's closet. Now, that's not an easy task, seeing as my earrings don't have a normal place where I keep them - I usually leave them wherever I take them off (bathroom counter, kitchen table, bedside stand...bad habit, I know). So, he must've spent a couple days gathering these all up and hiding them in his closet. Another time, I found all of Hayley's bibs in a box (taped shut) inside the dryer. So, yesterday, I opened up the fridge and this is what I found in the bottom drawer.....

....some movies, a few toys, a toothbrush, even my lip gloss. Jared and I had a good laugh and I had to post the picture.

Random Hayley Pics

What child HASN'T had their picture taken in a basket of laundry?

What a little sweetie (or should I say "sweet potato")!

Potty Training Update

Carter is doing really well, and I just had to post this picture. This is his "I did it!" face, he gets really excited...so funny!

Go Canucks Go

Last night, Jared and I went to the Oilers-Canucks game. Canucks won 2-1 and for those of you who TRULY know Jared, that is good news. We left the kids at Grandma and Grandpa's in Sherwood Park, and Hayley pretty much cried the whole time. The game was kinda slow, and didn't really matter in the current standings (since Oilers aren't doing too well this season - no offense to anyone), but we still had a fun time at the game, and being without kids for a few hours. You can't tell, but we took this picture at the game:

Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese on Saturday. We love that place. Carter got these funny glasses, they look hilarious on people. It was a great time, as always.

Potty Training

Well, potty training is turning out to be very...interesting...! He's doing pretty good and had a few successes - more and more each day. He is starting to tell us now when "he has to go", which is good, but I never thought that one little sentence could make me drop everything and run so fast.

If You are Bored...

For those of you that are familiar with "Les Mis", my brothers made this video and it's hilarious. You can also check out their other videos at http://www.youtube.com/popechubby.

Kids Say the Darndest Things...

Yesterday, my Mom took Carter to Cinema City 12 to see the new "Charlotte's Web" movie. When they first walked in, Carter goes, "I smell popcorn, Grandma", and she replied, "yeah, I smell popcorn, too". Carter was silent for a second and then said, "I think I hear my tummy making sounds...." Ha! Real subtle, Carter.

Carter never ceases to amuse us with his funny remarks, but I wanted to add this one because it's my sister's favorite:

This past summer, he was getting his last two teeth and he was in a lot of pain and had a high fever. Even though I knew his whole body was aching from fever, I asked him, "Where does it hurt?" Tearfully, he replied, "...head, shoulders, knees and toes...."
