Just had to post this...

I work as the Lunch Supervisor for Hayley's class which means I am lucky enough to get an insiders scoop on what goes on in their Kindergarten class. The other day I went in and they had been learning about different animals, sheep specifically that day. They all got a picture to color of a sheep. Some children colored theirs conservatively: brown, white, grey, black. While a few other (namely the girls) got creative: pink, purple, yellow. Our daughter?? A whole rainbow-colored sheep.

I thought it was hilarious, mostly because this picture represents Hayley in everything she does. She can't be normal or play by the rules. She's a creative little spitfire that will do whatever she wants, whenever she wants :)

But I do love her artwork....

And her of course :)

Koocanusa

This past weekend we camped out at Lake Koocanusa on the states side. It was really nice weather...not typical for May Long.

Happy kids! They ran around outside all weekend and never complained once.

We took a walk across the lake from our campsite. Such a nice view.

Some friends came out to camp with us for the second half too. The dogs swam and played fetch for hours.

After we took these next pictures of Dutch, we started calling him The Flying Dutchman. He is so crazy agile...

And always smiling! At least he looks like it anyways.

We had some very dirty kids at the end of the weekend but they loved it.

Sunday Drive

On Sunday we went for a drive. Typical drive, we saw some rams...

And we saw an AVALANCHE, no big deal... lol

It blocked off the road we were driving on so we had to turn around...but not before exploring a bit. I've never seen an avalanche up close and it was crazy seeing the aftermath. It took out a lot of trees and rocks on it's way down. Pretty yucky-looking.

Radium Hot Springs

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Radium Hot Springs to celebrate Jared's birthday with our good friends, the Jarmans! We haven't seen them in almost a year and A LOT has happened in that year so we had lots to catch up on. The kids all got along so well...and loved having a movie night/sleepover in the hotel rooms.

We saw this crazy house, yes it is actually a house! It was featured on the TV show Weird Homes.
We were gonna take a tour...until we discovered the owner (aka greasy long haired hippie) used a series of grunts instead of words. haha Even Carter said that place gave him the heebie jeebies :)

The Hot Springs were amazing! So warm and crystal clear. We loved spending a few hours there swimming.


We played at the park and found this cool old horse seesaw. It reminded Bobbi and I of the playgrounds back in the 80's.

There was some outdoor workout equipment at the park too. Such a neat idea, us adults kept entertained as well.

We had some cupcakes to celebrate the birthday boy.

We had such an awesome weekend in Radium. Can't wait to do it again soon!
