First Quad Ride of the Year!!!

.....walking the dog: redneck style! haha

Yep, that is Carter driving the quad all on his own :)

I just love quadding. And this beautiful town. And my cute family. The end.

Easter Festivities

We had such a fun Easter weekend with family! We had probably the most company we've ever had at one time. Jared's parents, my parents, my twin brothers Joel and Dallin, my sister Lisa and her 2 little boys, and my Uncle Lloyd. Here are some pictures of the fun Easter things we did with the kids....

My Mother-in-law and I printed off this ADORABLE scavenger hunt for the kids to find their Easter baskets. It was such a hit. The kids came upstairs to find bunny footprints leading to the first clue. If you look close, the Easter Bunny also left something else behind by his footprints....don't worry; it's just black jellybeans, not real rabbit poop :)
Carter, Hayley, Josh and Carter were so excited to start the hunt for their baskets.

They had to think hard about some of the clues....
Time for the Egg Hunt! There were eggs hidden everywhere.

The kids got along so well. I love these pictures, they are just best little cousins :)

Grandma also brought an Easter Story on a cardboard TV aaaand a jumping bunny game for the kids, which they loved playing.

We also had a huge Easter Dinner, played games, and dyed eggs; which was a highlight. I didn't take any pictures unfortunately but those eggs turned out amazing if I do say so myself!

We had such a fun weekend with (almost) all the people we love and now we are back to the norm. With an empty house, and empty hearts. LOL (I realize that sounded cheesy but hey, it's my blog!).

A Zillion-and-One pictures of our Utah Trip!!!

For Spring Break we braved the 12 hour drive and headed down to Utah to visit Jared's brother and their family. We had a fun week there in Saratoga Springs with them doing lots of different activities.

We went to the International Sportsmen's Expo and it was so stinkin fun! The most exciting part? The kids got to hold a real baby black bear cub. It was so darling, and definitely something they will never forget.

This Expo is Carter and Jared's cup of tea. Carter is obsessed with Hunting and Army so at one point, he was actually jumping up and down with excitement - something our reserved children rarely do :)

We also went to this fun place with Arcade games, go-karts and bowling and had an awesome afternoon with the kids there.

My sis-in-law Andrea kindly watched the kids for us one day so Jared and I could go skiing at Snowbird Ski Resort. It was such an amazing day, the best day skiing we've ever had! I've heard Utahns rave about the snow there before but never believed them since, duh, I'm from Canada we obviously have better snow. But nope, I'm a believer now, Utah has the best snow we've ever seen. Fact.

And yes, our faces got so sun burnt from the bright sun. It was terrible the next day.

Such amazing views up in the mountains...

In Park City, we went to Utah Olympic Park and saw all the Olympic memorabilia. It was pretty cool to see, especially considering Jared and I went to the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake way back when we were just dating.

The best part of the entire trip for Carter and Hayley was playing with their 4 cousins. Alivia, Cooper, Bauer, and Kessler are some of the funnest kids we know and we are so lucky to be related to them! I snapped a few pictures of them playing basketball in the street with some neighbor kids.

On our way home we stopped in Ogden at the Air Force Museum. Carter was in heaven.

We also made a pit-stop in Rexburg, Idaho to see my little sister Carly who is going to University there. It was so nice to see her apartment, and her beautiful smile. Love ya Car-Lar!!

Some other fun things we did that don't have photos: Cabelas, a visit with my cousin Cindy and her hubby Matt, going to see "John Carter" in 3D, eating at Cafe Rio, and lots and lots of shopping! It was an awesome trip, but we were also glad to be home after. Sadly our Spring Break is now over and it's back to the grind for us. Gotta work to play though right? :)
