We celebrated Easter at my parents house. The kids had alot of fun. Carter, of course, loved it but this year was so much fun for Hayley. She could actually walk around carrying her basket, hunting for eggs, getting excited when she found them, and sneaking off to unwrap and eat as many chocolate eggs as she could before we caught her. We had a big family dinner with the Harlines (cousins) and had an egg tossing contest after dinner. It was a really fun day.
Tomorrow, the movers are coming to pack everything up. I think I have finally finished getting everything read to go. This move wasn't supposed to be stressful at all (the moving company even packs our household items into the boxes for us!) but somehow, I have managed to stress just a little. We are going to be here in Edmonton for a few more days and then head down to Elkford, where the company puts us up in a furnished (5 bedroom!) house for as long as we need to until we find a house we want. Easiest move ever, right? I know.
We are looking forward to getting there, but this past weekend has been a sad one as we've been saying our goodbyes to everyone. Poor little Carter has had a few moments where he gets all sad and doesn't want us to move away. He gets so sensitive about stuff like this - he doesn't like change and also realizes that we won't see Grandma and Grandpa (and Ethan) as often. Then we have to remind him about all the exciting things to look forward to when we get there and he gets past it.
I'm with ya, Carter. Bittersweet.
Happy Easter!

That house is a sweet deal! Take as long as you need to find your own house...ha..
Your kids are super cute, we might be contemplating a move of our own....
That is a pretty sweet deal. It will make it easier to really find a house you like instead of just settling on one as you are running out of time. Maybe we can get together soon and catch up, go swimming or something.
Looks like you had a fun Easter.
That's cool about the house. You might just decide to stay there forever. I might be tempted.
holy crap, could your younger sister look anymore like you. Good luck on the move!
Looks like you guys had a great Easter. Ya moving from your family will be hard. I think you'll like BC though. It'll just take some time to adjust. And that's great that they're putting you guys up till you find a place.
Good luck on the move.. looks like Easter was a fun one!
