Slurpees and Penny Candy

We've had a fun week. Last week, Jared's dad stayed here over night on his way to a tractor auction in Ponoka. Carter was so excited to see Papa and cried the next morning when he had to leave.

This past weekend, my family had a Garage Sale in Sherwood Park. They are in the process of redecorating their basement and wanted to get rid of some big stuff. I took a few baby items out there too and came away with a whopping $8.50! Yes!

My friend Krystal just got home off her mission so we were out to Sherwood Park a few more times over the weekend for her Open House and homecoming talk in church. Great to see her and alot of other friendly faces who we haven't seen in awhile.

Last night we put the kids in the wagon and went for a walk. We found ourselves at 7-11 buying slurpees, penny candy (x5) and other various convenience store treats and walked back home while eating them. Jared gave Hayley a piece of licorice to suck on and she was in heaven. By the time we got home, her face and hands were covered in sticky red slobber.

The not-so-fun part of our week happened on Sunday evening. We got home from dinner in Sherwood Park, heard a hissing noise, and realized our front tire was leaking pretty quickly. Jared put some sealant inside, but it didn't hold. So he took it in the next morning to get it fixed and ended up having to buy a new tire. I guess it's not that big of a deal, but who likes spending money on tires? I could think of a million more exciting things to spend 80 bucks on.
